Automation

We specialise in the automation of corrugators & solid board converting machinery. Using diverse technologies, with electronic sensors for vision, real-time tracking, position, temperature, with feedback and accurate product placement systems for a range of clients in the UK, & across Europe.

Automation on Corrugating Machines

Our experience in Industrial Automation was developed over many years of producing and installing systems in various corrugated packaging & board manufacturing companies.

For special purpose machines, our knowledge and know-how is based upon a sound understanding of our best automation techniques and knowing the benefits & ROI for the Corrugator & solid board laminator owners that are possible…!

Integrating different technologies into the automation design will reduce product cost and enable improved overall quality and productivity in your application.

These systems are especially suitable for many older machines that are worthwhile investing in their improvement.

“It’s like our machinery has a new lease of life in many instants…

words from an incredibly pleased customer!”

With many of our special purpose machines, we integrate robotic handling. Through plc’s and or PC control systems!

They operate electro-mechanical and pneumatic/hydraulic positioning systems.
That increases the consistency & accuracy of repetitive feeding and stacking operations.

Historically many of these jobs have often been carried out by manual labour. With results in an increase in the speed of the production processes and higher productivity.

Now, more than ever before, competitive manufacturing businesses that wish to stay profitable & lean. Must take advantage of automation wherever possible to maintain & outperform their competitors!

With the widespread use of computers in the industry today many more automated opportunities could be utilised involving not only the factory floor machinery.

Also includes many other processes that are essential to maintaining operational requirements for production. Such as sales tasks, product design, order fulfillment, warehouse & production material workflows between different machinery processes.

All these tasks are for day-to-day routine jobs that are carried out in every manufacturing plant, and many can be automated to increase efficiency by modern software applications.

Production management systems are computerized systems used to optimize the production line with automated and data-driven manufacturing processes.

Most applications that process work orders can be implemented to appear directly on the PMS (Production Management System) screens.

Effective production management techniques and systems lower these costs by providing mechanisms and methodologies to identify, analyze, and change processes to render the most cost-effective production method possible.

So, the orders are entered directly into the PMS, and the production controllers or machine operators can then select the orders to run, according to the materials that are available to them on their machine.

But that is not the end of the matter, the automated system can now give the order progress directly back to the company’s sales desk.
Or in some cases directly to the customers’ screens as a live video link/feed update, of their order as it is processed.

If there are any other delays occurring on the production line. They will see this happening in real-time so keep them informed and up to date with the progress of their orders.

Sharing Automation Information

The amount of information you may wish to share with your customers could be a delicate option to handle…! (Information handling & storage)
Especially if you are working with competitors on shared workloads, to fulfill a customer’s order requirements on a “just in time” basis.

On the other hand, you may be part of a multi-plant operation, where all information between plants is good for business, and the overall company operating efficiency. Then this kind of shared information is not only desirable, but it is also essential that all the people involved have the most accurate & up-to-date information available to them in real-time.

These forward-looking companies that have created an edge over the competition, will also reap the success and rewards of these modern software applications.
The implementation of these advanced packages is not for every plant, but where improvements are affordable, then they should be installed immediately.

Engineering departments across different plant sites, which are involved in this kind of software shared resources, can immediately reap the benefits. By sharing plant knowledge, and on the ground knowledge in various applications.

The largest reward for the company is the low stock requirement of many hard-to-find items for their production machinery. Especially should the companies have similar makes of machinery running in their production facilities.

The selection of the application is especially important as, for the long-term, it should be possible to add new packages as and when the company can afford to purchase new equipment and machinery.

Encompassing those that can integrate and utilise more advanced machinery capabilities as and when they come into the production line.

Automation…!

Is one of the top key benefits that any company to implement or expand on, to help stay ahead of its game and remain highly efficient in its overall objectives!

The fact is any enterprise that wants to keep competitive will have to invest in automation or get left behind the crowd…!

Automation
You don’t need to start with the best innovative technology, but; you do need to start?

For example, those that use MS Office, are in an advantageous position to start improvements because MS offers many modern-day packages that can be used to improve your overall business operations.

And they integrate with each other very easily, straight out of the box.

There are also industry-dedicated software packages available to those that wish to make this move at very reasonable costs.

Automation Software Upgrades

For top-line companies, new machinery will also come with modern Up-to-date  computer control systems installed. Where they can take full advantage of some very compressive management software systems available.

As their IT department are retained to integrate new machinery controls into their own management systems as the new machines come into operation in the production line.
